La Jinete #10/10
La Jinete #10/10
There are certain images that find you—and refuse to let go. This Jinete is one of them. I've redrawn her more times than I can count, and each time she returns with something new to say. There’s a quiet power in her posture, a grace in her defiance. She rides not just with skill, but with spirit—and that’s what draws me back, again and again to this image.
My work is rooted in storytelling through texture and rhythm. Linocut allows me to carve intention into every line—to let the imperfections speak, to let the process show. I'm inspired by the strength of women, and the way they often play a large roll in evolving tradition and culture through protest, where this clash can often birth something beautiful.
This piece, La Jinete, is both a personal journey and a cultural reflection in the history of women. It's a tribute to all who ride boldly—through life, through struggle, for love, peace and beauty.
