The Studio Challenges are experimental studies and pieces created in the studio while working out new ideas and inspirations. Some take only a couple hours and some are strategically worked on for a week. Each is a scratch that had to be itched, an idea that had to be acknowledged.

Inspired by layers and patterns created within mountainous landscapes.

One day I was sketching out mountains in ink, and I began to recognise patterns in the landscape. So I wanted to exaggerate it and create something that resembles a mountain while also celebrating its naturally occurring rhythms.
